The BMW logo is alternating blue and white in a circle – this is said to be a reflection of the deep blue sky with a white plane propeller spinning by. Whatever the inspiration, this has remained the BMW logo. Los Angeles BMWs are seen everywhere. It’s always easy to tell one of these fine German cars from another, even if it’s by the logo alone. Things haven’t always been easy for BMW Auto Group. There have been definite peaks and valleys in their financial history. In an attempt to continue profits, BMW bought the rights to the Italian vehicle, Isetta. This was a prosperous but short-lived endeavor for the company. Another was the purchase of the Rover group in 1992. BMW owned and produced the Range Rover and Land Rover lines until 2000 when they broke away and sold the Rover lines. They did, however, keep the rights to produce and sell the Mini. They launched a newer, more North American version of the Mini in 2001 and it has been creating a buzz ever since.

The company knows things are always changing. They have continued to launch product lines that cater to the tastes and lifestyles of the rich and famous, but have still managed to make their vehicles affordable for the hard workingman about town.
